So we have heard news of a virus called coronavirus hitting china. We heard it hit the end of January. The government lied to everyone and it really hit the 1st of December. Its a SARS like virus. It effects the breathing and has flu like symptoms. They are saying it came from a wet market in china where they kill wild animals. What we have heard is it came in on bats and transferred to other animals. Then people ate the animals and some how it got into human transmission.
China has had some deaths but the whole area of wuhan is in lock down.
Then it hit a cruise ship. And then we got cases here in Ireland. This is due to schools traveling.
It has hit Pretty badly as the whole country has gone into lockdown as of today.
Italy had so many deaths there as well. They are saying on the news this is how it came to ireland with schools going skiing there. They then brought it back to ireland and infected people here. The first 6 cases confirmed were in inagh and ennistymon. They had been to Italy and came back.
Now numbers are rising in ireland. It came in as a cluster in one family in ennistymon and has spread like wildfire. People are stockpiling there food ( which i have done) and other accessories. As if the country goes into lockdown there will be no shops open. People have been told to self isolate if they show any symptoms as its highly contagious. We are at the point of a pandemic. It has now spread across Europe and is slowly making its way to America. There is currently no cure for the virus. Scientist are putting vaccinations to human trials at the moment It could take 9 months for it to be developed. How many will be dead by then?
